This week’s club ride, scheduled for Thursday, February 23rd has been canceled due to the uncertainty of the condition of the trails even though there’s a possibility of significant snow in the forecast. It appears that the storm is arriving a day or so late.

Three Day Forecast for Hazelhurst (as predicted by weather.com)

Tuesday:           A high temperature of 20 degrees and a low temperature of 11 degrees. Expect winds primarily out of the N at 10 mph with cloudy skies during the day. There’s a possibility of 1 to 3 inches of accumulating snow during the evening hours.

Wednesday:      A high temperature of 21 degrees and a low temperature of 11 degrees. The winds will be out of the NW at 14 mph with wind gusts as high as 30 mph. Snow will begin falling in the late afternoon and continue into the evening hours. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued, beginning at 6:00 PM. There’s a potential of 8 or more inches of snow accumulating by daybreak.

Thursday:          A high temperature of 15 degrees and a low temperature of -3 degrees. Expect winds mainly from the N at 10 to 20 mph. Snow will continue throughout the day with an additional accumulation of 3 to 8 inches. The Storm Watch ends at 6:00 PM.
