This month’s Minocqua Forest Riders Snowmobile Club Membership Meeting was held at The Top The Pointe Hotel and Suites conference room. Haven’t been there before you say? Well it’s part of The Pointe Hotel and Suites, located on the upper floor of Building #4 and overlooks Lake Minocqua. What a great meeting place it was; Again this month we enjoyed having a room to ourselves for conducting business.

‘Tis the Season! The Events Committee provided Christmas hats at the door and Buck Drossart & Chelsey Brown really had the halls decked out very nicely. We enjoyed a great meal, coordinated by our Secretary Susie Shanks and Jen Stough complements of Save More Marketplace providing us with a scrumptious Taco Buffet. Our mixologist Stephanie Voigt did a great job of making sure our cups were always full.

The highlight of the meeting happened when Bob Rynders stepped in for an absent Bruce La Rose (I’m sure busy doing his thing with the equipment and getting the trails ready) to do the Equipment Managers Report and shared with members how valuable a member Bruce is and how fortunate our club is to have him as our Equipment Manage, Area Leader and Groomer Operator.

Our next meeting is on Saturday, January 18th at The Boathouse. It’s part of our Chili Buffet Fundraiser & Social.  This will be a great opportunity for our downstate members to come and experience a club meeting. I hope to see you there.
