At the January 21st club meeting, members brought food and clothing items for donation to the Lakeland Pantry.  These items were brought to the pantry on Thursday.   We have received the following letter of thanks from the board chairman of the pantry.

Dear Eileen and members of the Minocqua Forest Riders,

I want to extend the thanks of the Lakeland Pantry for your donation last week. It created quite a buzz in the building.  While the food items are always appreciated, the amazing quality of your clothing donation really caused a stir.

Considering the state of our last two winters, as a non-rider, I have been extremely impressed at the way many local snowmobile clubs have stepped up to support the Lakeland community. Since January 1st of 2023, the number of people coming to the Pantry has doubled. So far in 2025, each week brings in more people that have never needed our services. We at the Lakeland Pantry are thankful that you chose us to be a conduit for your generosity. I can guarantee you that your efforts and compassion will make a big difference in the lives of many of your neighbors that need it the most.
