MFR Trail Report 12-23-2022

It’s so nice to have the trails open during the holiday season. Our trail maintenance crews have been out working very long shifts to make sure they’re safe for you to enjoy. The initial storm brought wet heavy snow to the region and there were many trees overhanging or downed and blocking trails.

Before Wednesday night’s storm, all of our trails were cleared and panned, ready for this morning’s Oneida County snowmobile season opening day. Unfortunately, the high winds that are expected to remain in the area throughout the day Saturday is causing debris to fall on the trails once more and there’s also a possibility that a trail may be blocked by a downed tree.

Please ride with extreme caution!

Trails:
In general, the trails are in Fair to Good Early Season Riding Condition

Lakes:
The lake trails are not marked yet. Please stay off of all lakes until they are clearly marked by a snowmobile club.

Grooming:
Our grooming operations will begin on Monday, December 26th.
