Open Position – Land Use Agreements

Dear Club Members:

I would like to address the importance of land use agreements.  As important as trail work and grooming are, obtaining land use agreements from land owners each year before the season begins is also of high importance.  Without land owner permission, the trail system would not be in existence!

After nearly 9 years, Dennis Mirr, who has managed the land use agreements, has decided to retire at the end of this year to spend more time doing the things he wants to do. Thankfully Dennis has agreed to obtain all of the agreements for this upcoming season.

I would like to begin the process early by reaching out to see if there is anyone within our club interested in taking on this position.  Along with Dennis’s help and training, and the support of the board of directors, you would not be out there by yourself.

This job requires someone that is detail oriented and would enjoy meeting and talking with our land owners.  According to Dennis, he has been able to meet people he never would have imagined meeting.  Dennis has done an amazing job and we want to thank him for all of his hard work over the years!

If anyone is interested in this very important job, please feel free to contact me for further discussion.

Sincerely,

Jerry Wakefield   715-439-5383
