Hello Minocqua Forest Riders,

The short summer season is over and cooler weather means snowmobiling is closer than we think!  I’m sending this note to outline some of the communications you can expect this season.

The newsletter will come out twice a year – once at the beginning of the season and a second one when the season comes to an end.  The dates are still in discussion.  These newsletters will contain many of the happenings over time since our previous newsletters, and will contain content from many of the board members

What will also be different moving forward is the plan to send out short bi-weekly or monthly communications outlining upcoming events, workdays, meetings, social activities, and anything else that may be time sensitive.

Why the change? Many reasons, but mainly we as a board feel that many of you would be more willing to read short bits of what’s going on in a timely manner vs a longer newsletter. Thus, having information of club happenings in this type of format will keep all of you knowing what’s going on in the next couple of weeks.  Weekly trail condition updates will continue throughout the season, and we will work with other clubs in our area to have trail information linked through our social media platforms; specifically trail closures, and problem areas. This is still work in process.

So, with that said, I want to thank everyone for their membership, and wish everyone a safe riding season!
