Volunteers Needed for the January 29 Northwoods Cruise for Cancer Ride

Now that everyone is enjoying the trails again, Ed and I want to encourage our members to come out and sign up to ride, make a donation, or volunteer for the 3rd annual Northwoods Cruise for Cancer event being held January 29th, 2022.
This is the website to use: marshfieldclinic.org/giving/special-events. This link will take you to the site where you will be able to donate, register as a rider (which includes a T-shirt and lunch), or purchase a T-shirt only, or purchase lunch only, or purchase lunch and a T-shirt.  We have many options for everyone’s needs!
The details:
The ride starts at the Boathouse in Minocqua, WI.- registration for riders is online or the day of the event starting at 9am. The ride will begin leaving in groups at 10am. Lunch and raffles will be at the Willow Haven Bar & Grill. Riders will leave Willow Haven around 4pm heading back to the Boathouse.
We need :
1.) 10 people to lead small groups of riders from the Boathouse to the Willow Haven bar and then back to the Boathouse- arrive by 9 am for registration and receive your highway vest for identification. The ride starts at 10am and the riders leave every 10 minutes or so.
2.) 5 people for registration at the Islander (the downstairs restaurant which is part of the Boathouse). You will need to arrive at 8am to set up the area. Responsibilities include signing up new registrations, passing out T-shirts, armbands put on to identify those who paid for lunch, getting highway vests to the ride leaders, and selling ball caps.  One person will need to be in charge of the money bag.
3.) 10-12 people for Willow Haven – arrive at 10am. The event  typically ends around 4pm. Responsibilities include: 1.) setup and organize baskets, silent auction items, and 2.) 50/50 raffle tickets, 3.) raffle tickets for the baskets and silent auction items, and 4.) liquor/wine set up. Two people needed at the front door to sell ball caps, T-shirts, and sign up new registrations for lunch. Two people assigned to be in charge of money bags. Volunteers to bring gifts that were won back to the Boathouse for pickup.  We are flexible with your length of time that you can give.
In addition, if anyone knows of a business they frequent and are willing to ask for a donation for raffles we are looking for liquor or wine for the liquor pull as well as gift certificates.  Donations of baskets for raffles are appreciated, too!
Thank you all for any consideration.  We couldn’t do this without you!  We raised just over $10,000 our first year and $20,000 our second year!  Let’s see what 2022 brings!
