We began the celebration of this years’ snowmobiling season, not only with a lot of snow already, but by having a great time on Saturday night at Norwood Pines Supper Club!   There were ~90 people who signed up in advance and 31 walk-ins, which was so nice to see despite the weather!!  We had a significant storm system heading in our direction, scheduled to start at the same time as the party, but ….. we are a SNOWmobile club, so this didn’t stop us from getting together!!

We want to extend a huge thank you to the following folks at Norwood Pines:

• John and Kurt for cooking up a terrific buffet dinner of prime rib, fish, honey mustard chicken in wild rice, mashed potatoes, french fries, green beans and salad!
• Tom & Tracy for making sure they kept everyone’s thirst quenched quite well at the bar!
• Minnie, Heather, Jen & Spencer for keeping everything so very well organized throughout the night!!

 

And another huge thank you to everyone on the special events committee (listed at the bottom), as well as our additional basket raffle ticket sellers and photographer who are not part of the committee – Pat Harkins, Bill Leinonen and Kevin Stanley.

We received so many generous donations from local (and non-local) businesses.  Many of these establishments are not on the snowmobile trail, but, when we can’t ride (like the other three seasons), we are out and about with family and friends patronizing the local businesses, so a HUGE thank you to everyone who contributed!!

All the proceeds from the raffles will go towards our grooming and trail maintenance fund so that we can continue to keep our trails in such great shape!
