November Membership Meeting At Northern Waters Distillery

Minocqua Forest Riders Snowmobile Club held our November Membership Meeting at the Northern Waters Distillery on Tuesday, November 19. The distillery is a new Map Ad Sponsor this year, so this is the first time we had an opportunity to meet at this location, which is closed on Tuesday’s, so they were willing to host a private party for our meeting!

What a great place for our event! Members got to sample a variety of spirits used to create some very tasty craft cocktails, prepared by Jolene, a very experienced mixologist, before the meeting got started. And, those who prefer other types of refreshments, other than distilled spirits, were encouraged to bring their own wine and beer along with them. Finally, a very nice sandwich buffet, including “to die for” desserts, was provided before the formal meeting began.

As always, we recognized Club Leadership and our new members. During the meeting, all coordinators of club activities encouraged members to volunteer and sign up for events held throughout the year. These sign-up sheets will be available at the remainder of our club meetings.

The big news reported that evening is that our club will have Forest Rider Gear available for sale through our website. For a limited time period, an order form will be available (a pop-up menu) to purchase merchandise and pay for it as part of the ordering process. Once the sales window closes and the merchandise is created, it will be shipped directly to you. The sales window will be announced via an email blast soon. A big Thank You goes out to Carrie Leinonen for making all of this possible.

Finally, a huge thanks to our secretary Susie Shanks and Jolene for organizing the meeting and Peter and Lisa Nomm at Northern Waters Distillery for hosting!

We look forward to hopefully doing this again in the future. Next month’s meeting will be held at The Pointe Hotel and Suites. I hope to see you there.
