Roadside Cleanup
Thanks to all that came out for the fall version of Roadside Cleanup this past Saturday, October 19, 2024. We had 12 volunteers come out to help make our stretch of Highway 70W a better and cleaner place! The weather did a great job of cooperating with sunny skies and very mild temperatures. We managed to remove 20 bags worth of trash from Mercer Lake Road to Kilawee Road, about 1.3 miles. With all that trash removed, travelers can admire the beautiful changing leaves for the remainder of fall. It’s great to know we have club members willing to take a few hours to help keep our “northwoods” looking picturesque, even if it’s just our stretch of road!
