On behalf of the Minocqua Forest Riders, a huge “thank you” to all who volunteered to help with the Rotary Beer Tent staffing during Minocqua’s annual Beef-A-Rama.   The staffing during the event is handled by the Rotary Club and our club is one of several organizations providing volunteers, so we don’t have a list of names but do thank everyone who helped our club and the Rotary by volunteering as bartenders, sandwich preparers, grounds crew, ticket sales, cleanup, etc.

Also, the Forest Riders take full responsibility for the setup and take-down of the physical Rotary tent, which is a big job.   This is coordinated by John Ryan, our club Vice-President and “Beef-A-Rama Tent Setup Guy”.

John says:   “Thanks to everyone that came out on Friday morning for tent setup and Sunday morning to take it all down and put it away for another year.  Without you taking the time and offering to help, we would have an impossible task.  As everyone sees, it takes a lot of manpower (and woman power!) to move things around and set things up.  Each year we get more organized and a little quicker with the entire process.  This year we saved a few back muscles with the help of a Bobcat Mini Skidsteer that Judy and Jack Jurries of JJ’s Acres let us use to load and unload tents.  Dave Hermes then used that skidsteer to load things on his nice big trailer.  A BIG shout out to Judy, Jack, and Dave for the extra help, but I think Dave was having more fun than working!!”

Lastly, we have already heard a lot of “Thank You’s” from various Rotary Members for all the hard work we do getting the tents up and down for their beer garden.  All your efforts do not go unnoticed.
