Trail Update 01-31-2020

Curt’s Trail Report:  20 – 01_31

Curt Christensen, President

Since I moved up here before the winter of 2013, this season has been the best so far in terms of the quality and condition of our trail system. I’ve also been able to do some riding on neighboring trails and they’re in great condition as well. So, get out there on your sled and ENJOY!

Forest Rider Trails:
All trails are in Very Good to Excellent condition.

Willow Region Trails (reported by Jim Bosben, President):
All trails are in Excellent Condition. It was also reported that both Pier and Willow lakes have been marked.

Trail Closings:
•         Trail 5 from Willow Road (TIN-525) to the Spillway (TIN-524)
•         Trail A

Trail Grooming:
Corridor 10, Trail 9, Trail 5 and Trail BB are groomed 5 times a week; Corridor 12 is groomed 4 times a week; All other club trails are groomed at least once a week. To maintain quality trails, our grooming machines will be out during daytime hours.

Weather Outlook (as reported by weather.com):
Going into the weekend, expect a warming trend culminating with a high temperature of 44 degrees on Sunday afternoon under partly cloudy skies. Beginning Monday, the temperatures will settle back into the mid 20s for the highs and the low to mid teens for the lows. Winds will be light and variable throughout the time period with partly to mostly cloudy skies. There’s also a slight chance of snow in the middle of next week.
