Volunteer Opportunities

In addition to the ongoing volunteer work such as trail maintenance, grooming, event volunteering, the club is seeking volunteers to lead in the following areas:  Raffle Ticket Coordinator, Land Use Agreement Administration, Club Merchandise Program Lead, and Raffle Basket Coordinator.  More details follow.  If you are interested in any of these roles, please email us at minocquaforestriders@gmail.com

Raffle Ticket Coordinator. Responsibilities include:

o Renew annual Class A raffle license for the large raffle (Snowmobile Raffle) through Wisconsin Gaming
o   Renew annual Class B raffle license for smaller raffles such as 50/50’s, gift baskets, etc. (1 day events) through Wisconsin Gaming
o   Using a database program such as Excel, maintain records to track Class A Raffle tickets sold by membership and business partners
o   Coordinate with the Treasurer the bank deposits from any raffle tickets purchased and collected during the sales period of time
o   Maintaining safe storage of current year raffle stubs received until the day of the raffle event
o   Create the necessary ticket packages for members and businesses that will be selling tickets
o   Maintain historical database of all tickets sold and by whom

Land Use Agreement Administration. Without the permission of the many land owners who allow use of their land for trails, the club could exist.  We could use someone to help with the administration aspect of Land Use Agreements, doing record keeping to track the owners and status of the agreements.

Raffle Basket Coordinator.  The events team is looking for an individual(s) to coordinate raffle basket donations once a year as part of fundraising for our club.  If you are interested in hearing more about the position, please send an email to either Eileen Ryan or Gloria Tamms at:  minocquaforestriders@gmail.com

Club Merchandise Program  – The club is looking for a member to take over the MFR Club merchandise program. You can start from scratch and select a vendor or you can pick up the existing program and simply work with the current vendor to identify new items to sell and promote. If you’re organized and a good communicator, this may be just the volunteer opportunity for you – and, who doesn’t like to shop?  P.S. The current coordinator will be happy to help with the transition and you don’t need to live in Minocqua to administer this program so – working on it remotely is an option.
