The earliest open date is December 15. Opening is dependent on amount of snow and overall trail conditions.  When conditions become close to being ready, out volunteer groomers will prepare the trails: rolling, packing, clearing any downed trees, opening gates.

Oneida County Snowmobile Trails will open when the Oneida County Snowmobile Council (OCSC) determines that they’re safe for public use.

Also remember that lakes are not necessarily safe even when trails open – please be patient, and safe!
