Roadside Cleanup – Thanks to our volunteers

This past Saturday, October 11, 2025, we held our second Minocqua Forest Riders (MFR) Roadside Cleanup of the year. The weather was perfect—sunny skies and comfortable temperatures made for an enjoyable morning.

Our first cleanup was back in May with 18 participants. This time, we had 19 volunteers, including three new MFR members—a new record! The turnout continues to amaze me and shows how deeply our members care about keeping our community clean and the Northwoods welcoming for both locals and visitors. Thank you!

We collected 16 bags of trash along our stretch of Highway 70W, from Mercer Lake Road to Kilawee Road. No unusual finds this time—no money, license plates, or car parts—but the impact was real. Afterward, several volunteers gathered at The Black Bear for breakfast and beverages to celebrate a job well done.

Whether you picked up trash, coordinated logistics, or simply showed up to lend a hand—your time and effort are appreciated more than you know.

Thank you to our volunteers:
